Great observation Bonwatcher . After reading your comment , I looked at all of the still pictures from her video selection....and this video which she added one day ago does have a different setting . The previous video which was added 6 days ago still had the same background / setting as all of her other videos . In addition to the different setting , this video also has a sad message unlike her other videos . I hope all is well in Magi's life .

You know, about 5 years ago I read a novel where the heroine was a low-level university teacher in Japan, and she did feel herself always an outsider. On the other hand, she loved the place! The novel was by a woman who was in a similar situation. After reading that book I was left with the conviction that there is something really wonderful about Japan that is hard for even good writers to describe but makes at least some Westerners love the place.

Thx Forryga for the translation. Is anyone else curious about the background change in Magi's video? It's nice, but no explanation of it. Where did she go to do it? It was always somewhere around her house but this is totally new. People have been complimenting the background but it is really out of place from what I've seen so far and a little disconcerting to me. Did she move?

Are there institutes where a person can learn Japanese and how to live in Japan? How fascinating if so. A guy I know who's doing it says it's easy to get a job in Japan teaching English, even if you have very little Japanese, IF you have at least a BA degree in anything. Take note Magi, if you have a BA.
